Customer status
A customer must be set to Active to be able to create orders under their profile. Inactive customers cannot have new bookings made against their account.
Tax exempt customers
If you check Tax Exempt when creating a customer, all orders placed under their account going forward will have tax removed automatically. You should also upload their tax exemption certificate in the Documents tab of their profile.
See Managing Customers for more details on tax exemption and automatic discounts.
If a customer already exists in the system from a previous online booking, you don't need to add them again — just search for them in the customer list.
